In February 2018 I weighed over 300 lbs and thought I was going to die. I had bariatric surgery and started running after recovery. Running helps me stay disciplined, focus, and push myself like I never have before. Running has opened the door to so many friends. I feel home.

I love to read and connect.

I run for my health. I love being uncomfortable mentally—I love to battle. I feel like we are too comfortable. Running long distances makes you suffer, in a good way I believe.

I prefer any trail; the NC mountains are great to run in as is West Virginia. Since covid hit I have run my neighborhood—although pavement is not my favorite—I do feel more connected locally.

Hinson Lake 24 Hour shirt—my first Ultra—that shirt is so soft!!

I love useless knowledge.

To complete a 100 trail mile race.
