Running has changed my life in so many positive ways. It has made me a disciplined person with goals. I’m committed to my training—not just the miles, but all the other things that it encompasses including good nutrition and cross-training. Although I keep getting older, I’m a much better runner than I was when I started nine years ago. I am motivated to continue improving. Being an older runner has enabled me to qualify for major marathons and place well in my division. Through our running club, I’ve made many wonderful friends. We run together locally and plan marathon trips around the US and internationally. I’ve never felt so fit in my life and running definitely makes me feel happier!

It’s the best way to keep up on all things running-related!

I know that I’m going to feel great after my run and that feeling is going to last all day. A race on the schedule keeps me motivated to get out the door. Ideal running conditions makes it easy. The beach and mountains are close by and the weather is lovely year-round.

I run first thing in the morning, always! My favorite route is the Santa Monica beach path. Seeing the ocean and the sky, especially the beautiful colors as the sun is rising, fills me with a feeling of pure gratitude.
