I was working to hard, leading an unhealthy lifestyle and it was doing me no good—I felt lethargic and not at my best. So when I turned 50 I turned a new leaf and set out trying to get fitter. I followed the advice of lots of blogs and just started running—first a few minutes, then a little faster, then a little farther and eventually, within six months, I found myself running my first (pretty slow) half marathon. Running has totally changed me. I feel more centered, it’s easier to deal with stress, I eat better and frankly I think it’s made me a better person. But I will let others judge me on that one!

RW+ gives me a sense of belonging to something bigger—I love the community and the support.

I love that runner’s high—not the second wind kind of high—but just that good feeling of putting in some miles (on a good day). On a bad day, the health benefits motivate me.

I love running the trails and canyons around Los Angeles—nothing better in the early morning than watching the sun come up.

My Garmin Forerunner 235—I am a geek and I love the data.

I eat cauliflower crust pizza for a living at CAULIPOWER.

I have a few—an 8 min mile, a sub 25 min 5K and break 2 hours for my next half.
