I love running! I love all aspects of running. Getting better technically, focusing.

I love the stories and features; plus, I usually just relay the stories on our groups..., “Hey, do you know what I read...?!”

I run for the sense of community and friendships I’ve made because of running. Several years ago, I co-founded our running club, and it’s definitely impacted my life for the better. I serve as race director for our races now and it’s really cool putting on events and knowing that people are getting in shape just for your event. It motivates me to help the entire running community.

Usually an early morning runner before work, so it’s often dark. Most runs are with friends or with the local running club, Run Oxford. Most of our group runs start downtown, what we call “The Square.” It’s quite charming. Most runs start/finish there and wind through the university and over to our trails, so we often get a mix of city and trail and many runs.

In the summer, I wear some tank tops that I’ve had for years (see picture), and haven’t been able to find more, so I’ll wear them until they’re threadbare. I have to run in prescription sunglasses because I hate contacts and I’m far-sighted (can barely read my watch without them).

1. Maybe, finally, get into the New York Marathon

2. Do better at Boston this year. I bonked around my mile 16 last year (my first time there), so I’m determined to finish stronger this year. Needless to say, my mantra didn’t do me much good last year :)
