I know I can handle anything. I ran 10 marathons before battling cancer three times and those marathons helped me realize how tough I could be in crunch time.

I live in an isolated area for running.

To have time to myself my husband and I adopted a three-year-old (now 10) son with Autism. Running allows me to clear my head.

Knowing how great I will feel when done.

I run our hilly country neighborhood often times with my border collie. There are no stop lights, little traffic, and lots of hills. I run a 1/4 mile very steep hill. I call it hip hill because your hips are burning when you get to the top. I did train for marathons but now mostly walk. Chemo has damaged my kidneys so I have to watch dehydration.

A waist pack to hold treasures.

To keep moving until I am in the 90s.
