I’ve been running for 10 years and started to stay in shape. As I’ve become a mom and moved into more high pressure jobs, running has become my time for me. I love the quiet time to mull over problems I’m dealing with at work and the sense of accomplishment after finishing a workout. No matter what happens with the rest of my day, I can always count on my run to give me a “win”.

During COVID, I’ve missed one-on-one time with clients and friends. My planned Ragnar run in April was cancelled and my first attempt at a full marathon for the fall has been cancelled. RW+ provides me with regular motivation.

I run because it’s my time. I also love the inspiration it provides my five-year-old son. He’s starting to become interested in running with me. Our time during COVID has allowed me to spend more time encouraging him and enjoying our runs together.

I mostly run right out of my front door. I can get to a few trails within a couple of miles. If I have a choice, I love to run on trails near Lake Tahoe. The elevation is a killer but the views are with it.

My Garmin watch. I won’t run without it. I just got a Nathan VaporHowe vest and that’s quickly becoming my favorite in the summer heat.

I work in an unusual industry. Explaining what I do and some funny stories provide several miles of entertainment with running partners.

To run my first full marathon. I wanted to do it in 2020 and I’m trying to talk myself into doing a virtual race instead.
