It sounds cheesy but the only way to say it is that running allows me to believe in myself. If I can finish a marathon then I can do anything—if I apply myself. It has been beneficial in every aspect of life in terms of giving me the confidence to try new things and push through when things become difficult. Mentally it has helped alleviate anxiety and provided a sense of well-being and accomplishment. Physically it has helped me lose weight and become stronger.

To gain access to the articles/information that might help me run better and prevent injury.

I think about the calories I will burn and how I will feel when done. I also think about how each run fits into the long term goal. I usually run first thing in the morning—when still dark out. I keep it close to home, on my neighborhood streets, so that I can start and end near my house.

There are certain shirts that are just better than others and/or have a good color scheme for me. I save these for race day so I look good in the photos.

To keep running as long as I can and keep stretching to run more races and faster times. Long term stretch goal would be to qualify and run in Boston.
