I started running to keep active and healthy for my young daughter (and keep up with her!). Initially, when I started running, it was simply to shake off a few pounds and stay active. However, I found running to be so relaxing for me that it has become “My Time.” My time for myself. I have an active career and travel for work weekly. Therefore, running has provided that solace needed to get away from the grind of work, the emails, phone calls, etc. I am a solo runner; I run without music or headphones, and just run with my head and my thoughts. I find it liberating and peaceful.

I firmly believe running keeps me young in body, mind, and spirit; as well as keeps me positive, focused on the future, and looking forward to getting up and going for a run! I truly hope I can run for the rest of my life.

I joined RW+ because I am a RW junkie! Any extra RW is a good thing!

I am always focused on a goal (1,000 miles annually) or an upcoming race so I always have a reason to get up and get going. And always, to simply run to feel healthy in body, mind, and spirit!

I run in the mornings! All about getting the run in early whether I am at home before heading to work or traveling. I do not get to run them often, but love to simply run the trails at local spots (either the Ann Springs Close Greenway or the U.S. National White Water Center). Love the change of pace from sidewalks and concrete!

Love the Hoka One One Clayton! I purchased four pairs of them I loved them so much! Super light weight, and always felt great running in them, especially in races!
