I’ve always known that discipline is the key to any success in life; running makes one face hard things. One principal that emerges is that you can do way more than what you think you can. Life shrinks or expands according to one’s courage to push forward and gain the power to accomplish your dreams.

I run to keep that feeling from when I was a teenager of being alive, youthful, and full of energy with spring in my legs. There is a lot of technic to running fast; I keep learning more and more about how to run faster.

The more I learn how to use correct biomechanics and strength training the faster I get— even at my age—which is such an exhilarating feeling.

I have a stretch of road in Paradise Valley, AZ. The road is wide with such beautiful homes and scenery. You can smell the Orange tree blossoms and Sweet Acacia trees. Some mornings you can smell bacon and breakfast cooking—talk about joy.

I love my Nike Alphafly NEXT%. The spring is incredible and there is little shock from the road going to your legs.

I can eat an entire bag of Almond Joys before a run and feel great!

To place in the top 3 of the USAT&F 5K for my age.
