Running gives me motivation to stay healthy and workout. Between working out and running, I am in the best shape of my life and that includes when I played soccer and at the lowest body fat percentage, too. I used to have a cyclical weight, where during the off-season I would gain about fifteen pounds before losing during the season. I have kept my current weight for three straight years now. I have a group of friends that I both workout, which is great for core strengthening) and run with as well. There’s nothing like some friendly competition.

Initially, I joined to find gear as I started running in all types of weather and at all times of day to help me figure things out as I adapted.

I want to remain healthy because I remember what it was like to be overweight and I do not ever want to get there again. It’s the best sport because you can do it by yourself or with others and I found a supportive community within it.

My neighborhood, it is convenient no matter when I can get my run in. There is even a part that has a nice hill for training.

Aftershokz Aeropex as they are lightweight, the battery lasts through my marathons, and I can still hear what’s going on around me.

I am also actively involved in Toastmasters as both a club member and district staff member.
