Despite Tom Brady firmly expressing that he has no plans to make a return to professional football in 2023, fans on social media are still speculating on his potential comeback this fall. Rumors on social media in the past week are suggesting that the acclaimed althete, 46, might join the Minnesota Vikings, though there is no solid basis for this claim.

This speculation arose after the Vikings’ starting quarterback Kirk Cousins sustained an Achilles tear on October 29th, forcing him to sit out the rest of the season.

Where Did The Rumor Of Tom Brady Potentially Joining The Vikings Come From?

Many in the NFL world have recommended that the team reach out to TB12, as Athlon Sports reports, given their current 4-4 record. Last week, @ProFootballTalk tweeted: "Am I the only one thinking the Vikings should call Tom Brady?"

This ignited passionate responses from fans, who began sharing their thoughts on the rumor. "Tom Brady looking at the 4-4 Vikings after Cousins went down for the season," one fan wrote alongside a meme.

Another added: "Kirk Cousins is an amazing person and quarterback. I genuinely love him. If he is out for the season, the Vikings have only one choice. Pursue Tom Brady."

Someone else shared a photo of Brady, writing: "Just a picture of #Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell and future Hall of Fame QB Tom Brady. That is all."

As fans know, merely 40 days after declaring his retirement, Brady surprised the world on March 13, 2022, with his decision to rejoin the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2022 season.

During the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys, Brady made history by becoming the oldest quarterback to start a game in the NFL.

He also shocked many in October of last year when he and his wife of 13 years, Gisele Bündchen, announced their divorce. Amid rumors and speculation in tabloids, the marriage between the quarterback and supermodel, 43, had come under scrutiny earlier in the year.

This was after Brady's return from retirement, when Bündchen expressed her concerns about the potential long-term health effects of playing football due to its violent disposition.

The former couple share two children: Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 10. Brady is also dad to son Jack, 16, whom he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan.

Brady was linked to fellow supermodel Irina Shayk from July of this year until October, when sources dished to People Magazine that their brief relationship "kind of just fizzled." For the past few months, the two were spotted on what appeared to be dates and trips to and from his New York City apartment.
