I feel like people fall into two groups when it comes to weekend dressing: opulent going-out attire or baggy sweats. And while both of those aesthetics are fun, my new goal is to find a compromise between them. On my weekends I want to be comfortable, sure, but also in an outfit chic enough that I can run to an art gallery opening at a moment's notice. (I say that like art gallery invitations are flooding my inbox and that I don't spend every Saturday with Chipotle and Netflix. But hey, a girl can dream.)

These celebrities, below, have all channeled the simple but stylish vibe with their weekend dressing. I'll be living in pieces like this for the next 50 brunches on my calendar. And I suggest you do too.

Christina Milian

I love everything about this matchy-matchy pajamas-inspired patterned outfit. The cropped top, the wide-leg pants—something about it feels very early 2000s in the best way.

Hannah Godwin

You can't go wrong with a good pair of ripped jeans and a cotton top. The heeled sandals dress up the look, while Godwin's backpack keeps things weekend-ready. I wonder what she has in there? Lip balm? Snacks? A dozen roses to hand out to fans?

Jennifer Garner

Shiv Roy from Succession would approve of Garner's elevated take on a turtleneck sweater. It's perfect for both weekend brunch and destroying the board room with your vicious, vicious words.

Joey King

King's thick-striped sweater and deep red corduroys are ideal for a sunny Saturday spent shopping. Joey, hit me up the next time you're out. I watched all eight episodes of The Act and have thoughts.

Nicole Scherzinger

Scherzinger's take on jeans and a T-shirt—high-waist, tight-rolled, and perfectly cropped—works both for a quick coffee run and the club (aka the clerbbb).
