Ruggable Just Launched A Collaboration With Jungalow—And We're Wild About It

Justina Blakeney, founder of Jungalow, teamed up with Ruggable to create some truly special designs.

Ruggable

Ruggable is one of our favorite rug brands right now—and for good reason. Ruggable rugs are washable, durable, and chic. The brand has collaborated with a variety of designers, including Jonathan Adler, Morris & Co, and Nina Takesh to offer expertly designed prints and colorways—and we couldn't be more excited about the latest launch with Justina Blakeney of Jungalow.

Ruggable is equally enthused about this partnership, reveals Cassie Leisz, the brand's senior creative director, “We’re honored to work with Justina Blakeney, who has been a pillar in the interior design space for well over a decade," she says. "We were drawn to her vibrant and creative approach to design and are excited to bring good vibes to the home with the Ruggable x Justina Blakeney collection."

If you're familiar with Jungalow or you know Blakeney's signature style, then you won't be surprised to find that this collection is filled with bold and eclectic prints featuring botanicals, animals, and modern geometrics. "Whether you opt for warm, earthy neutrals or mesmerizing pops of color, these pieces are sure to bring a sense of fun to the home,” Leisz says.

Here’s everything you need to know about the line, plus a few of our (and Blakeney’s) favorites—and some styling tips from the designer herself.

The Collection

With 15 indoor rugs, two doormats, and two outdoor rugs—there’s something for every home. A range of sizes and shapes are available including runner and round rugs.

“Each design has its own story and inspiration," Blakeney says. "Some of the rugs are taken from my gouache paintings, others were inspired by my travels to places like New Mexico and Morocco. Sometimes it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where the inspiration comes from—sometimes the designs just pour out of me."

Mix and Match-ability

Whether you’re new to mixing patterns or you're a seasoned pro—these rugs present the perfect opportunity to get creative. “I like to pay close attention to scale when mixing patterns," Blakeney says. "If you have a large motif, balance it out with smaller ones and vice versa. This can help your space from appearing too busy. Also, try to work within a color palette. I like to pick one or two dominant colors for a space and one or two accent colors and weave them together. It makes the space feel more cohesive.”

If you’re looking for versatile rugs, the designer recommends Etta, Sonia (in Sand and Ocean colors), and Nina because these hues have softer, more neutral palettes than some of the other options.

Eartha

Blakeney says the Eartha rug—which features wild animal print available in a terracotta orange base color—is one of her favorite rugs from the collaboration. While it can be used in a variety of rooms, she personally has this one in her living room. “The terracotta adds so much warmth to the space,” she says.

Magdalena

Featuring stripes and geometric shapes, the Magdalena rug looks like something you’d find at a flea market on vacation. It is another one of the designer’s top picks. This vibrant rug doesn’t take itself too seriously. “I have Magdalena in my kitchen and that pop of pink really gets me going in the mornings," Blakeney says. "Who needs caffeine when you’ve got a hot pink kitchen rug?”

Hilma

Blakeney uses the Hilma rug in her lanai. She says it gives her the feels all day long. With irregular angles, it has a playful and one-of-a-kind look. What makes Hilma special is that it’s available in several colorways and each one feels like a different rug entirely.

Josephine

With a cheerful botanical print, Josephine is the perfect rug for anyone who wants something that reflects Blakeney's signature aesthetic. It’s a fun piece that offers a bold, eye-catching pattern that will liven up any room. It truly compliments any piece of Jungalow decor.
