Listen up short haired girls — Ruby Rose is serving up some serious hair inspiration. The Orange is the New Black star and host of this year’s MTV EMA’s in Milan hit the red carpet with her androgynous chop in a set of braids by hairstylist Castillo.
It’s a style that Rose rocks with ease and it’s perfect for anyone with a pixie cut to a short bob, all you need is the right products. Braids usually work best on second day hair, but if you have to start on clean hair, use a dry shampoo like Dove Refresh+Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo ($6) to add texture to hair before putting into braids or try a sea salt spray (we like Bumble and bumble Surf Spray, $27) for some added volume and grip. Castillo used Bumble and bumble Semisumo Pommade ($29) to slick down the sides of Rose’s hair and finished off the look with Flip Turn Volumizing Finishing Spray ($11).
