The Royals Are Reportedly “Furious” at the Sussexes, Feel Like They’ve Been “Stabbed in the Back”
The royals are reportedly “furious” about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell announcement.
Meghan and Harry revealed they’ll be stepping down as senior royals and moving to North America part time.
Wondering how the queen feels about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announcing that they’re stepping down as senior royals? Not great, apparently! Daily Mail reports that Queen Elizabeth and the royal household were verrry surprised by the news, with a senior royal source saying the family is “deeply disappointed” and another saying the royals are “shocked, saddened, and downright furious” at the couple.
“People had bent over backward for them,” one aide said. “They were given the wedding they wanted, the house they wanted, the office they wanted, the money they wanted, the staff they wanted, the tours they wanted and had the backing of their family. What more did they want?”
And yet another said, “It’s deeply unfair to the queen, who doesn’t deserve to be treated this way. It is a shoddy way to treat her. The family understands that they want to do something different and is perfectly willing to help them. People are just devastated.”
But perhaps the most extra quote comes from this source, who said, “The level of deceit has been staggering and everyone from the top of the royal household to the bottom feels like they have been stabbed in the back.”
YIKES...like, all these two are doing is moving to North America part time and wanting a more private life??? Everyone needs to calm down!
Anyway, Buckingham Palace released a pretty salty statement yesterday, saying, “Discussions with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are at an early stage. We understand the desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through.”
