Royal Wedding: Everything You Missed After the Cameras Turned Off

From pizza to Idris Elba's DJing.

On Saturday, May 19, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. She wore a white Givenchy dress as Prince Charles walked her down the aisle, and afterward, the couple rode a carriage through Windsor as a choir sang "This Little Light of Mine."

But the festivities weren't over when the TV cameras stopped rolling. The couple and their friends and family continued to celebrate their marriage at a lunch for the guests and then an evening reception hosted by Prince Charles at Windsor's Frogmore House. Here's everything you missed that took place after the royal wedding.

The flowers were sent to a hospice.

On Sunday, St. Joseph’s Hospice in London announced in a Facebook post that their patients had received bouquets left over from the royal wedding, which included white garden roses — a tribute to Princess Diana, according to Southern Living. "Our hospice smells and looks gorgeous," the hospice wrote alongside a photo of a patient carrying the flowers.

A cart full of pizzas was delivered to the reception.

Around 7 p.m., soon before the evening reception began, Windsor Castle received a huge delivery from Pizza Express, Metro reports. Photos show someone lugging a cart of boxes to the gate after consulting with police officers. It sounds like the menu provided something everyone could enjoy.

The guests enjoyed lemon elderflower cake

Presumably after they ate their pizza, the reception guests got a taste of the unconventional dessert served at the royal wedding reception: lemon elderflower cake made by pastry chef Claire Ptak. In fact, it looks like there were at least three cakes, based on a photo posted to the Instagram of Ptak's Violet Bakery.

The new couple had their first dance to "I Wanna Dance With Somebody"

The Whitney Houston classic played as Harry and Meghan enjoyed their first dance as a couple, according to The Telegraph. Meghan has called this tune her "happy song," according to People.

Meghan and Kate danced with George Clooney

Meghan's dance partners included none other than George Clooney, according to The Mirror. He also got in a dance with the Duchess of Cambridge.

Idris Elba DJed

The couple and their guests also danced to music curated by Idris Elba, who has DJed professionally under the name DJ Big Driis and co-produced a song on Jay-Z's American Gangster, Us reports. He played Luther Vandross’ "Never Too Much" as Meghan and her friends hit the dancefloor. It sounds like the event had every essential ingredient of a night to remember.
