The Royal Family Posted About Looking Forward To "Brighter Days Ahead" On Instagram
The royal family is looking forward to brighter days ahead.
In a new post on the royal family's official Instagram account Saturday, The Firm shared stunning photos from the Buckingham Palace Garden, along with a hopeful message in honor of the first day of spring.
The gallery post included four gorgeous nature pictures taken by photographer John Campbell at the Buckingham Palace garden. The lead image is of a dreamy, gold-tinged sunrise over the lake in the Buckingham Palace Garden and is followed by three more pictures highlighting the beauty of the Queen's garden: a tazetta daffodil, a field of pheasant’s eye daffodils in the garden’s meadows, and a curved path leading to the Palace's Rose Garden.
"Today marks the first official day of spring, as we all look towards brighter days ahead," the post's caption reads. "The garden at The Queen’s London residence sees much change over the course of a year. Despite its urban location, the garden is home to a remarkable array of flora and fauna."
The pictures featured in the Instagram post will be included in the upcoming book, Buckingham Palace: A Royal Garden, which follows a year in the life of the royal garden at Buckingham Palace.
The book, which includes gardening tips from Buckingham Palace Head Gardener Mark Lane, as well as royal anecdotes, is due to be published by the Royal Collection Trust in April. "The tastes and skills of monarchs and gardeners over the centuries have helped shape this hidden oasis in the centre of London," the Trust's official description of the book explains. "Today the garden plays a key part in the busy calendar of royal events, including the much-loved tradition of The Queen’s Garden Party. See how this working garden grows and develops through the changing seasons, accommodating a diverse array of wildlife, flora and fauna, from the National Collection of Mulberries to the royal beehives."
