Family holidays are always complicated. For the royal family, this is especially true: Meghan Markle's family lives in the U.S., which means if she wants to spend some quality time with her mom, Doria Ragland, she will need to make the occasional visit across the pond. She and Prince Harry reportedly did just that for Thanksgiving this year; the royal family was reportedly supportive of this choice.

A source told Entertainment Tonight that the couple is spending their time with Ragland in a secure house that offers privacy from anyone who might be curious about their whereabouts in the States while they're here. Ragland lives in the L.A. area, where Meghan made a secret visit earlier this year.

This year, there have been many rumors surrounding the relationship among the Fab Four, Prince Harry, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle. But it appears that the royals will still be doing events together, at least to make the Queen happy. On Remembrance Day, the last event the group did together, they seemed to show a united front.

“Everyone was doing their duties, doing what they needed to do on behalf of the family—and that was that,” a source said. “But there is a divide between the four of them. It’s hard for people to digest, because everyone wants them to be such a unit.”
