Could there be another bombshell royal memoir on the horizon? Royal expert Christopher Andersen certainly seems to think so, and he has a prediction for who will be its author: Meghan Markle, 42.

In a new interview with Fox News Digital, the royal expert, journalist and author of such books as Diana's Boys: William and Harry and the Mother They Loved and William and Kate: A Royal Love Story suggested that Markle may be “up next” when it comes to dropping a tell-all book, following the release of Spare by Prince Harry, 39.

“[Markle’s] autobiography will almost certainly be up next, and we'll have to wait and see if she can be as candid as Harry was in Spare,” Andersen said. “I get the sense that there is some trepidation on the Sussexes’ part because of the tremendous backlash triggered by the revelations in Spare.”

Andersen pointed out that publishers are likely itching to get a book from the Duchess of Sussex. “Conversely, Meghan must be chomping at the bit to, as they say, ‘set the record straight,’” he added.

This wouldn't be Markle's first foray into book publishing. Back in June 2021, the duchess released an illustrated children's book, titled The Bench, which was inspired by the relationship between Prince Harry and their son, Archie, 4.

Of course, the Duke of Sussex saw loads of success when he released his memoir, which was named the fastest-selling non-fiction book of all time by the Guinness World Records. In its first day alone, the book sold 1.4 million copies in the U.K., the U.S. and Canada.

According to a report from The Telegraph, the release of Spare was part of a four-book deal that the Sussexes signed with Penguin Random House, which could include another book from Prince Harry, in addition to a wellness guide from Markle.

If Meghan ever does release a memoir, we'll be racing to bookstores for a copy.
