It's a boy! Kensington Palace confirmed that the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to an 8lb 7oz son this morning at St. Mary's Hospital in London.

According to the Palace's tweet, both Her Royal Highness and the child are doing well.

Throughout Duchess Kate's pregnancy, there has been speculation over whether the color of her outfits were an indication of the royal baby's gender-and it turns out, she might have been sending not-so-subtle hints after all.

William, for his part, also hinted that that Britain will soon have a new little prince. While at the Aston Villa soccer game this month, he celebrated a goal by Jack Grealish by announcing to his fellow fans that he planned to name his child after the midfielder.

"I’m going to insist the baby is called Jack,” he said, according to the Mirror. He paused, and then continued "...or Jackie."

Earlier this year, Duchess Kate joked that her husband was "in denial" over their third child; hopefully he's feeling ready to become a dad for the third time, as Kate is due any day now.
