Rotary Club Pancake Day set for Feb. 17, with prizes to be won

The Bucyrus Rotary Club's annual Pancake Day Fundraiser breakfast will e held 7 a.m.-noon Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Bucyrus High School Commons.

The breakfast includes pancakes and sausages for $5; children ages 3 and under are free. Tickets come with the chance to win prizes.

“We have a grand prize of $1,000 cash, a second prize of a medium pizza once a month for a year from Pisanello’s Pizza, a third prize is $250 cash, a fourth prize is $250 cash, and a fifth prize is $250 cash," said Rotary member Tami Tima.

The prizes are donated by Sprang Capital Management Inc., J&F Construction, Advanced Fiber Technology and by FCBank. The winners will be announced in March.

The fundraiser breakfast has attracted around 2,000 people in the past, and this year Bucyrus Rotary Club hopes to raise around $10,000.

“The money is used to go back into the community for projects that we, Rotary do,” Tima said.

Entertainment: Singing and dancing

She said the fundraiser will include entertainment such as dance performances from Douce Dancers of Crawford County and Wynford’s choir.

Tickets are available for purchase through the Rotary Club by calling Tima at 419-689-9350 and through the official Bucyrus Rotary Club group on Facebook by scanning the QR code on the fundraiser announcement.
