Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Knows How to Pull Off a Men’s Statement Suit

Sharp suiting, unsurprisingly, is a big trend for fall—though the proportions shift and evolve over seasons, there’s something enduringly classic and appealing about the clean lines of a well-tailored blazer. But can a smart blazer-and-trouser combo make a serious style statement, too? Leave it to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to demonstrate how a bold suit is done. The model turned actress stepped out during Milan Fashion Week to take in Versace’s Spring 2019 show, and she offered up a new alternative to polished corporate dressing: the Crayola-colored suit.

For her appearance at the runway show, Huntington-Whiteley appropriately wore Versace and chose to borrow from the boys—she wore a pink single-breasted suit from the Italian label’s Spring 2019 men’s collection. Look 32 was one of the many highlighter-hued suits that graced the menswear show back in June. For a more feminine touch, though, she did not wear a shirt underneath, allowing a hint of skin to offset the boxy shoulders and slightly oversize lapels. Simple heeled sandals and a lack of jewelry proved that less is indeed more.
