Rose Brown Hair Is Instagram's Latest Trend
If you love the rose gold look but don't want to lighten your hair, a new color called rose brown may just be the one for you.
Australian stylist Thi Thao Tu recently showed off the new look on Instagram, and it's taken off just in time for spring. The look includes purply-red highlights on brown hair, making your head resemble a bed of roses.
The look is easiest to achieve with light brown hair, especially if it has orange or red undertones, London-based colorist Josh Wood told Refinery29. But if your hair is darker, worry not. If you have dark brown hair, said Wood, you can achieve the look by adding balayage to the ends.
"These tones don't last forever, because they're just laying on the surface of the hair shaft, so caring for them is a must," he added. To preserve the color, use shampoo and conditioner designed to help your hue last, and use a color-safe hydrating mask once a week.
