Rosario Dawson's Morning Routine Includes a Very Thoughtful Moment from Cory Booker

While you're brushing your teeth and rifling through your clothes to figure out what to wear, Rosario Dawson is jamming out to a hand-picked tune from Cory Booker. In a new interview with Women's Health, she explained that while the possibility of being the first lady can be daunting, she's focusing on the positive parts of the prospect of public service.

Dawson and Booker went public with their relationship in late 2018 after months of speculation. As he was ramping up his presidential campaign, she was a vocal supporter and continued her Voto Latino initiative, which has been a years-long project for the actor. However, politics wasn't getting in the way between her burgeoning relationship, which has its cute moments, like the song Booker sends Dawson every morning, no matter where they are.

"Every morning that we don’t wake up together, he sends me a song, which means every morning he holds our relationship in his mind and heart for a few minutes before he goes off into his big day," she said.

Dawson went on to explain what makes this relationship different. Small things, like the daily song, let her know that they're always connected.

"We are excited about what we can create together ... I feel a lot of life ahead of us," she said. "It’s been beautiful feeling nurtured and taken care of. I've never been this close to someone. We make sure we connect. That's something I’ve taken for granted in the past."

Though Booker suspended his campaign, neither he nor Dawson are slowing down. She posted a sweet tribute to him the day he announced that he would no longer be running for president.

"Cory, you continue to inspire me every day. On this journey you and your remarkable team have represented the best in us and I know you will continue to. Thank you. I see you. I love you," she wrote on Twitter.
