Isabella and Rosario Dawson

Rosario Dawson has her next big role lined up: grandma—or, as preferred by her, "glamma."

The RENT star shared the exciting news with Page Six during an exclusive interview, where the 44-year-old revealed that her daughter, Isabella, 21, is pregnant with her first child.

“It’s very exciting,” the mother of one said, sharing that the baby is due sometime next year. It's unclear how far along Isabella is in her pregnancy, but Rosario already knows what she wants to be called: Glamma.

The actress tends to keep her daughter, whom she adopted at the age of 11, out of the spotlight, but she did open up to People about the young woman earlier this year, noting that, even as an adult, Isabella "always keeps [her] on [her] toes."

"That one... I'm never bored," she said. "When you have an Aquarius child, you're never bored."

In another interview with the publication, she called motherhood "the best role of my life," adding how "powerful" it was that Isabella "was old enough to choose [her] back" while going through the adoption proceedings, which were managed privately, rather than going through an agency, as Rosario knew Isabella's biological mother.

“It wasn't even a question; it was clearly meant to be," Dawson said in a previous interview about finding out that Isabella was in foster care at the time. She's also shared that the door is open for a relationship with her biological family, which includes several siblings, but that her birth mom "kind of disappeared" shortly after the adoption.
