Rosalía’s Rainy Day Look Puts a Bright Twist on the Babushka Trend

Rosalía’s wardrobe usually suits her status as one of the most beloved pop stars in the world right now. Onstage, she wears crop tops adorned with flamenco-style ruffles and matching hot pants. Offstage (at Frank Ocean’s new queer club night in Queens, to be exact) she wears baby pink bootleg Louis Vuitton sets that blow up the classic logo to outsize proportions from Imran Moovsi.

The Catalan pop star’s latest look, though, is a bit of a switch-up from her usual matching sets. In SoHo yesterday, Rosalía battled the rain in clashing prints —a Louis Vuitton miniature monogram jacket and a pair of burnt orange snakeskin pants. Rosalía still managed to put a bright spin on a trend that A$AP Rocky pioneered, though, topping off the look with a lime green and black scarf that she wrapped around her head like a babushka. Leave it to Rosalía to use a rainy day as an excuse to experiment.
