Thanks to trends like the ““office siren aesthetic,” the resurgence of preppy fashion, and the many stars opting for glamorous suits on the red carpet, we’ve been reminded time and time again that businesswear can be anything but boring and stuffy. On Friday night, Rosalía proved that when it’s given some flare, office dressing can even ooze cool.

The “Despechá” hitmaker supported her friend Bad Bunny (the two collaborated on the 2020 reggaeton single “La Noche de Anoche”) by attending his show at Los Angeles’s Crypto.com Arena yesterday, and she used the opportunity to show off her gothic street style.

Rosalía documented her edgy ensemble with a photo posted to her Instagram Story. In the snap, she poses in front of a barricade, sporting a cropped white button-up shirt (which she wore with the top two buttons open) paired with a glossy black leather pencil skirt that featured a built-in belt that was attached to the skirt via a row of shiny silver carabiners, creating a slight cutout along her waist. She accented the ensemble with black accessories, including sandals with a short heel, sleek narrow shades, half-palm leather gloves, and a small purse with a fantastical illustration of a swan in front of what appears to be an icy-blue planet. Rosalía eschewed jewelry, wore her long brunette locks down and straight with a middle part, and glammed up with matte, rosy makeup, complete with a berry lip.

The Spanish singer-songwriter has had a relatively quiet year when it comes to public appearances (barring the sweet dates she has been on with boyfriend Jeremy Allen White). In February, she strolled through the Paris streets in a lively, eye-catching ensemble, composed of a sky-blue long-sleeved boatneck dress and furry bright red heels.

The day before, she rocked her all-black Motomami style at Dior’s Fall/Winter 2024 ready-to-wear show. Her ensemble consisted of a cropped puffer coat layered over a long-sleeve, mock-neck top and a knitted jersey maxi skirt with a drawstring waist and kangaroo pocket. She finished it all off with rubber boots, a quilted top-handle bag, rectangular shades, and dainty silver hoop earrings.
