Tennis legend Roger Federer is co-chairing the 2023 Met Gala tonight, and if you're wondering who his stunning date is, that'd be his wife Miroslava Federer—aka Mirka.

These two have been together since back in 2000, have two sets of twins (casual), and seem extremely in love/obsessed with each other. And in case you don't have time to do a deep dive due to busily judging everyone's Met Gala looks, here are some fast facts on everything you need to know about Mirka and her relationship with Roger so you can earn a quick PhD in their vibes.

Mirka Federer Is Also a Professional Tennis Player

In case you're in the mood to be impressed, Mirka is a former member of the Women's Tennis Association and was a top-100 player—even reaching the third round of the U.S. Open back in 2001. Sadly, she had to retire due to a foot injury in 2002, and since then she's been her husband's public relations manager.

Roger and Mirka Met at the Olympics

These two first laid eyes on each other when they were both repping Switzerland at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. And apparently, their very first kiss was on the last day: “We spent two weeks together, that's how we got to know each other and on the last day before we left, we kissed for the first time.”

Here's an incredibly cute interview of them together back in the early days of their relationship:

And speaking of cute videos, please enjoy this video of Roger saying if he could relive any moment in his life, it would be when he met Mirka:

Back in 2017, Roger said Mirka and their family was his biggest priority, musing, “If she said she didn’t want to travel any more, I’ll say, ‘okay, my career is over’—it’s as simple as that. She’s the key. Mirka has been amazing support for me. She’s the best.”

They Got Married in 2009

At the Wenkenhof Villa in Riehen, which sounds very fancy. No pics, but here's a cute video of Roger chatting about the wedding:

They Have Two Sets of Twins

Mirka and Roger welcomed twin girls named Myla and Charlene in 2009, and then welcomed twin boys named Leo and Lenny in 2014.

Roger gave a press conference saying he was excited about traveling after his sons were born, saying, "My wife does a lot of work, as much as she can. And I try to help as much as I can. We have the grandparents as well and all my team members, they sometimes just tag along. Clearly we also need some help on the road, so Mirka can have an opportunity sometimes to sleep in a little bit, or come to watch one of my matches. You need to be well organized, but by now we know how it works. I am looking forward to life on the tour with the family, and it will be a long time without any traveling after the tennis is over. So I'm looking forward to the next couple of years now."

He also told Today, “The girls were born and from that moment on, 2010 and 2011, I didn’t win any slam. I remember changing diapers, bathing the girls and just being a dad. But then when the boys were born, I mean, that rocked the boat, obviously, because going on the road with four kids every single week was hard, to say the least. And from being maybe the dominator I became the challenger. And I liked that role, as well. I actually really stayed hungry throughout.”

Mirka Got Emotional at Roger's Final Match

Mostly when he thanked her publicly while crying, saying, “My wife is so supportive. She could have stopped me a long, long time ago, but you didn’t. She kept me going and allowed me to play. Thank you."

On that cute note, as you were!
