The singer got his first-ever tattoo in Aukland, NZ.

Rod Stewart just got some fresh ink!

The "I Don't Want to Talk About It" singer, 78, shared a photo of himself getting tatted up.

In the snap shared to his Instagram page, Stewart can be seen smiling at the camera while donning a white T-shirt and a Celtic chain to honor his favorite soccer team. He was getting his upper arm tatted in honor of the team as well, with the tattoo artist seen etching "Glasgow Celtics" into the singer's skin.

"Getting a ‘Glasgow Celtic’ tattoo in Auckland to celebrate my beloved team ‘You’re in My Heart’ @celticfc @wallerray_tattoo," the singer wrote in the caption.

Many fans and celebrity friends took to the comments to express their approval including Stewart's wife, Penny Lancaster, 52, who wrote, "Amazing celebration to end a great Australian/New Zealand tour 🍀"

"Imagine the pressure on this tattoo artist just knowing your inking up one of the best musicians to walk this earth? 😮," one fan wrote, as another added, "Yes! Celtic pride 💚."

"Awesome, love how passionate you are and that beautiful neck chain. Thank you so much for the fabulous show you put on in Napier and safe travels back home ❤️❤️," a third fan added.

He even tagged the tattooist Ray Waller in the post, who replied: "Thank you for the amazing experience, it was an honour."

The tattoo also came as a celebration as he wrapped his Australia/New Zealand tour.

Stewart is a long-time Celtics fan and has passed his love for the football team down to his children. Back in February, Stewart's son, Alastair, 17, took to his Instagram to share a photo of himself enjoying a game with his father, along with siblings Renee, 30, and brother Liam, 28.

Lancaster and Stewart also share Aiden, 12. The singer is also father to Ruby, 35, Sean, 42, and Kimberly, 43.
