A-Rod Says His Daughters Only Call Him to Speak to J.Lo and We're Not Mad About It
Sure, Alex Rodriguez is a 14-time MLB All-Star with a casual 696 career home runs, but his two daughters, Natasha (aka “Tashi”) and Ella, are more impressed with his songstress girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez.
On Monday, A-Rod stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! and confessed that dating J.Lo has improved his relationship with Tashi (12) and Ella (9). He joked, “My daughters think their dad’s a hero now, for the first time. They think they went to heaven. Now they’re hanging out with Jennifer backstage, they’re dancing, they’re singing with her.”
The MLB player went on to reveal he’s seen an increase in FaceTime calls since he began dating the “On the Floor” singer earlier this year. But Tashi and Ella aren’t always thrilled for a quality chat with dad. He continued, “And I’m like, ‘Hi, honey, how was school?’ And they’re like, ‘Uh, Dad, yeah, it was great. Where’s Jennifer?’ And I say, ‘Oh, no, no, she went to the set already, honey, she’s working.’ ‘Oh, OK, Dad, I’ll call you later.’”
Still, Rodriguez is opting for the “good sport” attitude. “I’ll take anything I can get from my girls,” he added.
