Rocky Mountain's World Cup Team Announces Surprising Shakeup

In the last two years, Rocky Mountain's familiar team has undergone some major changes. In the last two off-seasons, Jesse Melamed and Andréanne Lanthier-Nadeau have left the brand.

On February 29th, 2024, Rocky Mountain made the surprising announcement of the merger between Rocky Mountain Raceface and Tribe Pyrenees Gravity to form Rocky Mountain Gravity Racing.

This move is a surprising one. Rocky Mountain Raceface riders will be racing under the management of the existing French squad. Rocky Mountain Gravity will be based out of Loudonville, France.

In addition to the familiar faces of Remi Gauvin, Lily Boucher, and Emmett Hancock, Rocky Mountain Gravity will also feature Justine Henry, Lévy Batista, Luca Fourcade, Alizes Lassus, and Enzo Perez.

Rather than focus on enduro like in past years, the team will race Downhill and Electric Enduro World Cups as well.

Rocky Mountain Brand Manager Nina Harmom had the following to say about the merger.

Over the past decade, the team has made its mark on enduro racing and we’re thrilled to keep up that momentum. We're taking our commitment to racing to the next level by creating the Rocky Mountain Gravity Racing team. To bring all these talented riders under one banner.

At a time when there is speculation about the future of professional enduro, diversifying the team could mean they are hedging themselves in case the Enduro World Cup goes anywhere.

We at BIKE are excited to see what this team can accomplish under new management.
