The Rock shares photos of Hawaiian wedding to Lauren Hashian on Instagram

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has announced that he has married girlfriend Lauren Hashian by sharing a series of photos from their wedding on Instagram.

On Monday, the actor shared two photos on the social media platform taken from the couple’s big day which took place on Sunday in Hawaii, US.

“We do,” the star captioned the photos of him and Lauren both dressed in white, posing on the edge of a cliff at sunset. “Pōmaikaʻi,” the 47-year-old added, which means "blessed" in Hawaiian.

For the occasion, Johnson wore a pair of off-white trousers and a white shirt with a traditional lei (garland) around his neck. Meanwhile, his bride wore a V-neck gown covered in a floral appliqué design.

In one photo the newlyweds kiss as Lauren’s veil blows in the wind.

Several of the star’s 154 million followers have commented on the post to share their well wishes and congratulations.

“Congrats,” wrote American football quarterback Tom Brady.

“Congratulations to you both!!! [sic]” added Houston Texans athlete JJ Watt.

Hashian, who is a singer, met Johnson in 2006 while he was filming The Game Plan. The couple have two children together, three-year-old Jasmine and one-year-old Tiana.

Following the birth of his youngest daughter last year, the actor shared a photo of himself on Instagram holding his newborn, explaining that he was proud to bring another “strong girl” into the world.

"Skin to skin. Our mana. Blessed and proud to bring another strong girl into this world," he captioned the post.

"Tiana Gia Johnson came into this world like a force of nature and Mama Lauren Hashian laboured and delivered like a true rockstar.

Skin to skin. Our mana. Blessed and proud to bring another strong girl into this world. Tiana Gia Johnson came into this world like a force of nature and Mama @laurenhashianofficial labored and delivered like a true rockstar. I was raised and surrounded by strong, loving women all my life, but after participating in baby Tia’s delivery, it’s hard to express the new level of love, respect and admiration I have for @laurenhashianofficial and all mamas and women out there. Word to the wise gentlemen, it’s critical to be by your lady’s head when she’s delivering, being as supportive as you can.. holding hands, holding legs, whatever you can do. But, if you really want to understand the single most powerful and primal moment life will ever offer - watch your child being born. Its a life changer and the respect and admiration you have for a woman, will forever be boundless. And to my third and youngest daughter, Tiana Gia - like I did when your two older sisters Simone Alexandra and Jasmine Lia were born, you have my word, I’ll love, protect, guide and make ya laugh for the rest of my life. Your crazy dad has many responsibilities and wears many hats in this big ol’ world, but being your dad will always be the one I’m most proud to wear. Oh and one more thing.. you’re gonna love rollin’ in daddy’s pick up truck. #TianaGiaJohnson🌺 #3rdDaughter #BlessesAndGratefulMan #ImInTROUBLE

Johnson also has an 18-year-old daughter, Simone, from his previous marriage to Dany Garcia, whom he divorced in 2007.

Earlier this month, the star announced his retirement from wrestling. Johnson hit international headlines in the 1990s as a professional wrestler for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

The Californian-born actor later made a move into Hollywood with leading roles in films including The Mummy Returns, Tooth Fairy and the voice of Maui in the Disney animated film Moana.

The actor was recently named Hollywood’s highest paid actor by Forbes Celebrity 100 list. He ranked at number 15 on the list for overall total earnings.

During a recent interview on Live with Kelly and Ryan to promote his latest film, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, the star said that although he misses wrestling, he has hung up his boots for good.

“I quietly retired from wrestling because I was lucky enough to have just a really wonderful career and accomplish what I wanted to accomplish, but there's nothing like a live crowd, a live audience, a live microphone as you both know,” he told the TV presenters.
