The Rock does everything big — and that includes his paydays.

Dwayne Johnson, as he's known on his financial reports, is highest paid actor on the Forbes list of celebrity earners for 2020, and the tenth highest paid celebrity in the world. It's a boost from 2019, when the actor ranked at number 15 on the same list. He currently ranks beneath Kanye West, Tyler Perry and LeBron James, among others.

His chart climb can easily be contributed to his payouts for the upcoming Black Adam, Jungle Cruise and Red Notice. According to Forbes, the actor and former wrestling star can garner more than $20 million per movie due to his successful film career. And of course he's still getting paychecks for his work on his sitcom Young Rock, and hosting The Titan Games.

Anyone who's a fan of The Rock knows he spends lots of time in the gym, a habit that keeps his Instagram busy, and helps promote his Under Armor apparel line Project Rock. While shooting Black Adam, the star continues to show off his superhero physique and his grueling 4 a.m. workout.

The actor's long-standing career has commanded him a large fortune, and with his constantly growing filmography, it doesn't look like The Rock plans to stop earning millions of dollars each year.

In 2018, The Rock earned an income of $124 million.

Forbes declared that Johnson's $124 million 2018 income from his movies and Ballers HBO series was the largest ever recorded for acting in the 20 years the publication has tracked celebrity earnings.

Unsurprisingly, Johnson took to Instagram to commemorate the news, echoing his typical refrain of thankfulness for his success and his commitment to hard work.

The Rock's social media presence is reportedly one of the key reasons he makes so much money for his blockbuster films, which can net him up to $25 million per role. He tacks on an extra "seven-figure social media fee" to each of his movie contracts, according to Forbes, which means that all of his tweets and Instagram videos aren't just a way to keep fans in the loop — they're an extra stream of income.

That $124 million is a huge sum, but that's just the 2018 contribution to Johnson's massive fortune.

In 2019, The Rock earned $89.4M.

Johnson got massive paydays from films like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Hobbs and Shaw, and he also gets paid from the backend.

Johnson will also star in the upcoming fifth season of Ballers, and he was the host for NBC's Titan Games.

In 2020, The Rock earned $87.5M.

Although it's a drop from his 2019 earnings, no one can argue The Rock didn't earn a sizable chunk of change. Although his time on HBO's Ballers came to an end in 2019, The Rock has more projects on the way. Since 2019 he's hosted NBC's The Titan Games. He's also narrator, creator and executive producer on the comedy Young Rock. And that's just on TV.

In 2021, The Rock is set to appear in Jungle Cruise, Red Notice and Free Guy.The actor is also filming Black Adam and recently released more apparel under his Under Armor line Project Rock.

The Rock's total net worth is an estimated $320 million.

His net worth, built up over a nearly 25-year career of wrestling and acting is estimated to total $320 million, according to TheRichest.com. Back in 2018, Forbes estimated his net worth to be "closer to $165 million," but had no updates numbers for 2020.

Whatever the actual number, it's still like the man himself, exceedingly large. With a packed film schedule with movies like Jungle Cruise and even more collaborations with brands like Under Armour, that total will only get bigger. Johnson owns a stake in Voss Water, making him part owner of the brand. In 2020, Johnson also purchased the American football league XFL.

Not bad for a guy who started with just seven bucks to his name.
