WWE wrestler Cody Rhodes sent fans into a tizzy when he won his Royal Rumble match and seemingly indicated publicly that he wanted to face off against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 this spring. But Rhodes announced he didn't need to wrap up his story at WrestleMania, and instead introduced a WWE veteran—Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson—as Reigns' opponent at the upcoming event.

While it was Rhodes' decision to not participate in the main event at WrestleMania, he'll still be facing off against a to-be-announced opponent, rumored to possibly be Seth Rollins. Meanwhile, his fans weren't exactly happy that he stepped aside to have The Rock take his place against Reigns. For his part, the Black Adam star brushed off any criticism and shared some honest thoughts with Rhodes' fans, specifically with the subset that is upset with the decision.

"I love Cody, I love his passionate fans, then there’s the other passionate Cody fans and they're called ‘Cody crybabies,'" he explained in a Feb. 8 appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. "These are grown a-- men [saying] 'Cody’s gotta finish his story.' It’s like, 'Wait a second, hold on.' 'Hey dad, you wanna go outside and play catch with me?' 'Not now, Cody’s gotta finish his story and I’m upset.' Wife comes in. 'Hey honey, you wanna go have sex?' 'Not now, Cody’s gotta finish his story!'"

He then addressed the so-called crybabies himself. "The Rock says this: Those Cody crybabies, the ones for every 10 tweets they’re shoving a Chicken McNugget in their mouth, for every 20 tweets they’re shoving two McNuggets up their a--, The Rock says this: All you gotta do is sit back, know your role, shut your mouth, and enjoy the ride that The Rock is gonna take your candy a--es on. So hashtag that." To drive the point home, he verbally added, "Hashtag, shut your b---h a--es up. Hashtag, Cody crybabies."

Rhodes will officially announce who he'll be battling at WrestleMania 40 at the WWE press conference in Las Vegas on Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. ET.
