The couple celebrated Amber's 48th birthday with friends.

Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts just returned from a stunning vacation in Croatia with her partner of around 17 years, Amber Laign

Roberts posted a couple of photos from the trip on Instagram which revealed that the two also celebrated Laign's 48th birthday with friends while abroad.

The 61-year-old offered more information in the photos' caption, which read, in-part: "Week of celebration all leading to today…Sweet Amber’s birthday!! Wonderful to have longtime friends Scarlett and Linda join us. Greatest gift was seeing the birthday girl having so much fun.😎💕💕."

The first photo showed Roberts, Laign, and their friends on a yacht holding glasses of champagne. Two big balloons spelled out "48" in front of them.

The second picture was of Laign's cake, which read in frosting, "Happy Birthday 'Sweet Amber.'" Roberts tagged the photo as taking place in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

It turns out that Laign got more than just a cake for her birthday while on the trip, as Roberts posted a video of the chef on the boat serenading the birthday girl as well.

Roberts' caption continued: "Great send off before our journey back home..."

Many fellow news anchors and correspondents like Gio Benitez and Martha Raddatz of ABC News and Lori Stokes of Fox 5 NY shared birthday wishes for Laign on the Instagram post.

On top of Laign's birthday, the couple has another major reason to celebrate–earlier this summer, Laign completed radiation therapy as part of her treatment for breast cancer.

Roberts shared a video of Laign ringing a bell at her treatment center that has a plaque labeled: "My treatment is done, the course is run, and I am on my way."

The Good Morning America host thanked supporters and wrote about how proud she is of Laign.

"We both thank you for all your well wishes and prayers. Proud of her and all fellow Thrivers for your grit and grace during a challenging time. This is indeed my #mondaymotivation," she previously shared.

Roberts hasn't been without her own health-related obstacles, either. Back in 2007, she was also diagnosed with breast cancer. And in 2012, she was diagnosed with the rare blood disease, myelodysplastic syndrome (also called preleukemia). Her sister, Sally-Ann Roberts, who retired from working as an anchor for WWL-TV in 2018, was able to donate life-saving bone marrow to Roberts.

Here's to more picture-perfect birthday celebrations for these two!
