Robin Arryn Had a Major Glow-Up on Game of Thrones , and Fans Are Living

Best part of the finale, TBH.

There were plenty of loose ends to tie up on Sunday night's Game of Thrones series finale, including finding out who would live and who would die. One of the biggest questions, though, was figuring out who would get the Iron Throne. Interestingly, the most surprising reveal during that sequence wasn't actually who got the Iron Throne—though that was shocking—but seeing one character's major glow-up from past seasons. That character? Robin Arryn, played by Lino Facioli.

In case y'all forgot, Robin Arryn is Sansa, Arya, and Bran Stark's cousin, and he is also now Lord of the Vale. When we first met Robin in season four, he was basically the worst. He was entitled, spoiled, and rude to Sansa after she'd escaped the evil clutches of the Lannisters. It was hard to find any redeeming qualities in him.

Cut to the GoT series finale, specifically the scene where the lords and ladies of the Seven Kingdoms gather to decide on the future of Westeros. As the camera panned around the council, some viewers immediately did a double-take as grown Robin was revealed to us.

In a Neville Longbottom-esque twist of fate, Robin got hot, and apparently got his leadership skills together to take on a position of power. Viewers quickly took notice, too, celebrating just how good puberty had been to the once-irritating character. The powerful stare, the perfectly-coiffed hair, the clothes, the swagger: Robin is now officially snack, and the GoT fandom is taking it as a consolation prize for the otherwise-polarizing series finale.

Eighteen-year-old Lino Facioli, who refers to himself as "that weird kid on Game of Thrones" in his Instagram bio, took a moment to celebrate his return during the show's finale with some before-and-after-pics of his character. "9 years ago I had the honor of being invited to work in this incredible series," Facioli wrote. "It’s been a wonderful adventure and I’m so, so thankful for having been able to be a part of it!"
