The Road to the Stage With Becky G

Becky G is a self described "Glam Girl."

Her overflowing, yet immaculately organized counter backstage at her Miami concert is filled with all the beauty products you might expect, from her bedazzled TRESemmé hairspray to her own Treslúce eyeshadow palettes, but there's also a few unexpected surprises.

Off to the side, you'd spot her copy of The Road Less Traveled, which she's held her place in with the same highlighter she's using to focus in on the stand out lines in the psychology and spirituality bestseller.

"I'm a true believer in the mind, body, soul," she shares. "I think we need to do things that cater to each one individually. There's been times in my life where I'm eating healthy, I'm going to the gym and I still feel like blegh, you know? I need to feed my mind."

Now at the end of her first headlining tour, the singer born Rebbeca Marie Gómez has proven she has the talent and the mental tenacity to deliver on stage, and her commitment to inner beauty has prepared her for the battle of endurance.

"Your voice gets tired, your body gets tired, but there's something magical– when you go on stage, you forget. The moment you see everybody and receive their energy, you transform," she reveals with a twinkle in her eye, barely an hour before going onstage.

As a young performer Becky grew up doing her own hair and makeup when she would go on the road, but now she's assembled a dream-team of beauty experts to create her signature look each night.

Behind her mermaid waves, on-trend braids and hair gems is celebrity stylist Marco Peña, a fellow member of the TRESemmé team Becky has recently joined as an ambassador.

"I was so excited when the opportunity to become a part of the TRESemmé family came about. It really compliments the versatility that I like to have in my style."

To keep her curls perfect while she whips her hair around on stage, Marco relies on the TRESemmé Ultra Fine Hairspray, plus a dollop of the Flawless Curls Mousse, which has an irresistible avocado scent that Becky can't get enough of. "It's so good and it smells amazing," she confesses.

Her stellar makeup looks come courtesy of Gilbert Estrada, but Becky reveals that sometimes he's not the only MUA behind the scenes.

"When I get ready early, I end up doing everybody's hair and makeup for my show," she shares with a laugh.

The "Mi Casa, Tu Casa Tour" may have just come to a close, but we can't wait to see where Becky G–and her passion for inner and outer beauty–go next.
