“Riverdale” Star Vanessa Morgan and MLB Player Michael Kopech Are Married
Wedding bells are ringing for Riverdale star Vanessa Morgan and MLB player Michael Kopech!
E! News reports that the couple tied the knot on Saturday, January 4 during an intimate wedding ceremony held at the Historic Walton House in Homestead, Florida. According to the outlet, Vanessa and Michael kept the invite list super-small (only 40 guests!) and some of the bride’s Riverdale costars were in attendance.
As seen in photos obtained by E!, Vanessa wore a breathtaking long-sleeved Eisen Stein Bridal gown with intricate beadwork, a body-hugging silhouette, and a sheer bodice. She also donned a long veil with beaded detail along the hem, and finished off the look with open-toed shoes. E! News reports that the actor dazzled her guests with a costume change after the ceremony, opting for a reception dress by Grace Loves Lace. As for the groom, Michael donned a sandy-hued suit, keeping his shoulder-length blonde hair down for the occasion.
Vanessa kept things pretty low-key on social during her big day, save for an Instagram Story of herself sitting by the pool while rocking some seriously bridal footwear. Earlier in the week, she showed off photos from her bachelorette celebration, including a group pic with Riverdale costar Camila Mendes and, oh hey, the Jonas Brothers! “So grateful for these ones for making me feel so special this week,” she wrote in the caption.
Vanessa and Michael have been planning their wedding ever since their Insta-worthy engagement over Fourth of July weekend. The Chicago White Sox player proposed during a romantic getaway to Arizona’s Mooney Falls, and the pictures were unbelievably stunning. “I’ll never have enough words to tell you how much I love you, but I promise to always show you,” Michael wrote on Instagram at the time.
Congrats to the happy couple! Here’s hoping we get to see more of that wedding gown (and dress #2) on IG in the days to come.
