The wait is almost over for Riverdale fans and now we finally have a brand new peek into the upcoming fifth season thanks to some brand new photos.

As fans already know, season 5 of Riverdale will start off with two episodes that were meant for the show's fourth season until it was shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic. Because of this, the last two episodes will focus on our favorite characters as they head off to prom and graduation, before the series proceeds with a time jump.

Of course, this means that Archie will have one final match in the ring and who else would he go up against other than Katy Keene's own KO Kelly, played by Zane Holtz.

And that's not the only photos that The CW dropped. We finally get to see our favorites all at prom and things don't seem to go as planned for everyone based off their faces.

The first episode of the season will be called "Climax" and will see our favorite characters in various predicaments during their big prom night.

"Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead's (Cole Sprouse) investigation into the auteur leads them to the discovery of a secret underground for red-band screenings. Elsewhere, in order to impress the visiting Naval Academy Commandant, Archie (KJ Apa) agrees to participate in a boxing exhibition against another candidate -- KO Kelly (guest star Zane Holtz). Meanwhile, as Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) prepares for prom, she stumbles upon a major secret that Toni's (Vanessa Morgan) been keeping from her. Camila Mendes, Mädchen Amick, Mark Consuelos, Casey Cott, Charles Melton, Vanessa Morgan and Drew Ray Tanner also star. Pamela Romanowsky directed the episode written by Ace Hasan & Greg Murray."

Riverdale returns to The CW starting on Jan 20 starting at 8 PM ET/PT.
