While the internet is ablaze with Riverdale theories about the Black Hood (now that there appears to be more than one masked murderer on the loose), one person in the Twittersphere dropped a major truth bomb about the killer's identity.

According to @Joe_Flash17, the Black Hood is a staple of our childhood. The culprit is none other than (drumroll, please) Mrs. Puff, SpongeBob's overworked and underpaid boating instructor on SpongeBob SquarePants. I know, I know, this is shocking for everyone - she seemed so trustworthy - but @Joe_Flash17's got the receipts.

Devastating, no? Just when you think you know a person and then they stab you in the back (literally).

Camila Mendes (Veronica Lodge) was also *shocked* by the "reveal" when it came out, tweeting, "Mrs. Puff you dog!!" Girl, we feel you. We are living in the darkest timeline when a beloved cartoon character betrays everyone's trust and starts murdering and torturing our faves in a live-action TV thriller.

Fans were quick with the jokes, such as using Mrs. Puff's catchphrase against her.

But one person disagreed, believing Mrs. Puff to be innocent. @rivermerrell theorized the boat jacker, aka the muscular thug from The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, is the culprit behind the Black Hood's reign of terror. Now that's more believable than sweet Mrs. Puff, right? ...right?

But in all ~seriousness~, pretty much everyone on Riverdale has been accused of being underneath the hood, including Kevin Keller, Betty Cooper (which turned out to be kinda true), and even Betty's dad (which turned out to be TOTALLY true). Everyone is a suspect and deemed shady AF until the Season 2 finale.
