Rita Wilson Makes Gushing Birthday Post for Husband Tom Hanks: ‘Happy Happy Birthday My Love!’

Tom Hanks, you've got mail a notification. Rita Wilson just shared a new Instagram post where she gushed about her hubby on his 67th birthday.
The Now and Then actress uploaded a photo of Hanks early this morning, with a caption that began, “Happy Birthday to this man who is my lover, my best friend, my family, the father of my children.”
In the rest of her caption, Wilson listed out all the things she loves about her partner of 35 years: “He loves a typewriter just slightly less than me, (why is there no typewriter emoji?) invents cocktails like Diet Cokecaine (Diet Coke mixed with Champagne) or a Cokearita (Diet Coke mixed with margarita), DJs regularly on @bossradio66, is happiest being [surrounded] by his family and friends, and has committed to telling the stories of veterans and has created his own coffee brand supporting veterans, @givehanx Hanx for our Troops.”
The 66-year-old singer closed her post by writing, “He is one of the smartest people I know, has made me laugh everyday for 38 years, can nap anywhere at anytime. Happy happy birthday my love!”

Hanks and Wilson met on the set of the TV comedy Bosom Buddies in 1981 and then worked together again on the movie Volunteers in 1985. They were wed in 1988 and have since welcomed two kids: Chet, 32, and Truman, 27.
Prior to their marriage, Hanks was married to Samantha Lewes until their divorce in 1987. The pair welcomed Colin, 45, and Elizabeth, 41, both of whom are now Wilson's stepchildren. Sadly, Lewes passed away from bone cancer in 2002.

When asked by Extra in 2013 if there were any secrets to his marriage, Hanks said, “No secrets, it's about winning the lottery. [Wilson] could have done better, but man oh man. I'm no dope. I'm sticking with her, ain't no way to do better.”
