Rita Ora Nails Preppy French Dressing in Layered Vests and a Pleated Miniskirt at Paris Fashion Week

Class is in session, and Rita Ora is teaching. First on the agenda: a master lesson in preppy, layered dressing.

The “Let You Love Me” singer pulled out her wintry university best to attend the Kenzo Fall 2024 menswear show as part of Paris Men’s Fashion Week at Bibliothèque Nationale de France on Friday. For the occasion, Ora cut a stylish figure with lots of layers, like a cropped black vest that featured a white sherpa patch, several decorative pockets, and lush black fur lining along the collar and hemline. She wore that over another black vest, this one a long addition with several slits along the hemline, and under that was a black Aztec-patterned button-down. She took the studious theme further with a short black-striped pleated miniskirt, blue and white striped socks, and shiny black penny loafers featuring decorative white stitching, a brown accent along the toe, and a chunky white heeled sole.

Ora didn’t stop there, accenting the ensemble with large brown-tinted cat-eye sunglasses, layers of various beaded bracelets, stacks of statement rings, a dainty silver watch, a large gold nameplate necklace that read “Kenzo Paris,” a large translucent red hoop earring on one ear, a gold structural statement earring on the other, and a two-tone mustard and pale yellow purse. She finished things off with a matte muted red lip and sultry dark eye makeup, while pulling her hair back in a voluminous, side-swept updo.

Ora posed for several photos holding a book in the library, surrounded by tall shelves of texts, green bank lamps, and rows of desks. She also caught some pics with Pharrell Williams, Zayn Malik, and former Christian Dior CEO Sidney Toledano.

Ora has been putting on her own fashion show this week, stepping out in another great outfit the same day. This time, she wore a white knit turtleneck sweater that had quite the unique twist: a second pair of sleeves that she folded in front. She paired the asymmetrically cut piece with brown front-pleated trousers and classic shiny black penny loafers. Ora accessorized her dark academia ensemble with silver reflective shades and pearly white statement earrings of two chunky hoops laced together. As for hair and makeup, she styled her locks in another sophisticated updo, this time complete with face-framing tendrils, and wore a matte mauve lip.
