Risqué 'Wheel of Fortune' Puzzle Has the Internet Raising Eyebrows
Grandma’s favorite TV show just got a little risqué. A questionable Wheel of Fortune puzzle has the internet talking for its accidentally crude phrasing. Get ready to giggle like a middle school boy at this solve involving “Italian sausage." Oh yeah, it goes there.
So what is the phrase contestant Adam Goodell had to shout out to the nation for a cool $2,450? “Brushing up on my Italian sausage.” You can't make this up, folks.
The puzzle, which was featured in the Feb. 13 episode of the show, was part of the famous Before & After category. For those unfamiliar, puzzles in this category are are a single phrase made up of two common phrases. The two phrases have a single word in common, which is stated once in the compound puzzle.
For this puzzle, that word was “Italian,” as in, “Brushing up on my Italian, Italian sausage.”
As innocent as the two original phrases are, put them together and you have a sexy suggestion that even host Pat Sajak couldn’t ignore. With a knowing chuckle, Sajak said his iconic, “Yeah, that’s it,” when the puzzle was solved.
Soon after, the solve exploded on Twitter, leaving several clever dirty-minded watchers to tweet their shock and awe.
So apparently the solution to a puzzle on Wheel of Fortune yesterday was “Brushing Up On My Italian Sausage” ... and I think the jokes write themselves 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/J2OiIqJXQN

Sajak’s mind was clearly in the gutter with the rest of us. As he approached the winner for a handshake after the successful solve, the host had a surprised look on his face due to the accidentally NSFW puzzle.
“It’s a grilling expression,” Sajak joked. Sure Pat, something like that.
