Rippin' in Rhinebeck: Arizona Iced Tea's Skate Team Hits Upstate New York

The Board Room Skate Shop invited the AriZona skate team upstate for a proper parking lot style demo featuring a couple quarter pipes, a box, a pyramid and a launch ramp. Chris and Zsanne Hoffman invited a few local bands to rock out as well. Worse Off, Bobby Edge and Spell It Out each played 45-min sets while AZ’s Bonestalone, Carlo Carezzano, JJ Colõn and 50 or more skaters from Kingston, Poughkeepsie, Red Hook and even Long Island ripped it up. Boards, wheels, grip tape, fanny packs, sunglasses were all handed out for best tricks with added support by local brands Nimbus, Thumbs, Estilo, and Wool Skateboards. Peep the clip.

Words by Josh Zickert. The event ended with running races split into age groups for even more prizes. A big shout out to everyone that showed up to support this amazing day in the beautiful town of Rhinebeck.

Thanks to Gaby’s for hookin’ up the skate team with tasty burritos and a massive shout out to Piper at Montgomery Row for giving The Board Room permission to set up the ramps and do a big event.

Hopefully we can do it again next summer.
