How a new RiNo apartment building brings nature into Denver
DENVER (KDVR) — If you have been in the River North Art District lately, you likely have noticed the brand-new apartment building with an interesting feature.
There appears to be a gaping “canyon” running right through the Brighton Boulevard building from the outside in.

“MAD Architects is very much a nature-forward architect and they designed this to mimic the Rocky Mountain skyline,” said Liz Meyers, vice president of client experience.
The building is called One River North and is among Denver’s most expensive apartment buildings when you get to the high-end units.
“There are 187 apartment homes ranging anywhere from 600 square feet up to about 2,600 square feet,” Meyers said.
The one-bedroom units start at $1,800 a month. But if you’re looking for a 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath unit, it will cost nearly $16,000 a month.
So what, if anything, does this say about Denver’s economy?
“I don’t know that it can really indicate where the economy is, but we do know that we are extremely unique and feel like we will absolutely appeal to residents from across the country,” Meyers said.

One River North’s grand opening is April 24 and there are already 2,500 possible renters queued up to take a tour.
