The musician — and now actor — is a pro at method dressing.
As she promotes her new (and very first!) film, "John Wick: Chapter 4," Rina Sawayama continues to turn heads in exquisitely styled looks, mostly fresh off the latest runways.
At the movie's New York premiere, the star opted for a red mixed-print number from Thom Browne's Fall 2023 collection, which debuted last month. The full look, styled by Jared Ellner, consists of a paisley jacquard peeking out from underneath a tartan strong-shouldered top and pencil skirt, paired with an open-toe red satin heel.
She topped it off with a slicked back ponytail, a bright red lip and a sharp cat eye liner.
Sawayama is doing her fair share of method dressing for the "John Wick" press tour: The strong, boxy shoulders on this look seemingly represent the strength of her character, Akira, in the film, as the fighting daughter of a former assassin.
Before the premiere, the "XS" singer was on "The Tonight Show" and told host Jimmy Fallon that her casting came as a result of director Chad Stahelski seeing her movie-like music videos. Sawayama maintained fashion excellence (and kept with her warm-toned theme) during the appearance in a burnt orange two-piece skirt-set from Ferragamo's Spring 2023 collection.
"John Wick: Chapter 4" can be seen in theaters now.
