Rihanna has lost another beloved member of her family, new reports reveal.

The "Lift Me Up" singer's cousin, Tanella Alleyne, died suddenly at the age of 28, according to Loop Barbados News, with a service celebrating her life taking place earlier this week.

The publication reports that family and friends gathered at the St. George Parish Church on Monday, Aug. 28, as Tanella was lovingly laid to rest.

It is unclear if the former Super Bowl headliner, 35, was in attendance for the service. A cause of death has also not been provided regarding the circumstances of her cousin's untimely passing.

Tanella's death comes nearly six years after she tragically lost her brother, Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne, at just 21 years old. He was shot and killed in Barbados in December 2017.

Tanella's twin sister, Taneisha, also passed away when they were only 14, according to Page Six.

Rihanna has previously spoken out about the loss of Tavon, including in an Instagram post from 2021, where she wrote, "miss you and dat smile cuz," under a selfie of the pair.

During Monday's ceremony, Tanella and Taneisha's adoptive mother, Julie-Ann Bryan, gave an emotional video eulogy for her daughter, stating, "Tanella lived a life of gratitude with an outrageous amount of attitude, sprinkled heavily with confidence."

"There was something special about Nella," she continued, per Loop News. "She was bold and courageous. Our love for each other was lit."

Despite the devastating circumstances, the grieving mother expressed her gratitude for getting time to love "Taneisha for 14 years and Tanella for 28 years," before God "called them home."
