Rihanna Wore a Gucci Ski Mask and Thigh-high Boots to Coachella

Just when you thought that Rihanna had worn the most head-turning look of Coachella weekend, she knocked it out of the park with another. And waited a WHOLE 24 HOURS before doing so. To that we say, Thank You Ri Ri!

Rihanna posed on Instagram wearing a look that, on its own would have turned heads—but then threw the winning punch by adding a full-faced ski mask from Gucci’s Fall 2018 collection. On top, she layered a graphic white pullover sweatshirt over a classic blue button-down shirt, peeking out from below. On her legs were snakeskin pants that effortlessly melted into chunky heeled loafers made of the same exotic material. She accessorized with layered gold chains and a two-tone bag in bright red and green. The full look was from the fashion house. She captioned the post “when u finna run outta hangers.” She then posted some close-ups of the mask, which come complete with attached chandelier earrings. Because, of course they do.

And if there was anyone who could wear a full Gucci look as effortlessly as this, it’s Rihanna. Not only is she a style icon at her core, but she’s also a huge supporter of Alessandro Michele’s Gucci, having worn everything from embellished socks to a fully logo-clad tracksuit.

As Spring was supposed to have started almost a month ago, and is nowhere in sight (at least on the East Coast of the United States...), it doesn’t seem wholly out of place that Rihanna chose this ski mountain- ready look, well into April. Though it seems a little aggressive for our wardrobes that are currently dreaming of denim cut-offs and vintage T-shirts (thanks for that, Coachella!), we can’t altogether say we won’t be tempted to channel this look, come winter. By that clock, we have a little more than six months to imagine walking down the street in a full ski mask. The clock starts now.
