No one quite knows how to tease a new launch like Rihanna. With the upcoming release of her lingerie collection Savage x Fenty, Rihanna took to Instagram to show off a seriously ahead-of-the-curve look, while throwing in a cheeky nod to her new line.
In a new 'gram posted Saturday, May 5, Rihanna shared two swoon-worthy shots of her posing in a full denim ensemble. The look caught the eye of her followers who noticed something unconventional about the singer’s shirt. In one shot, the star struts her stuff in city streets, while in the other, she poses before a background of chic white walls — all while wearing a jean skirt as a top. Yes, that’s right, a jean skirt. Who else could casually pull off a jean skirt as top better than Riri herself? Always one to keep it tongue-in-cheek, Rihanna captioned one post, “when yo skirt too short.”
Needless to say, Rihanna's followers were totally impressed. "I would look a mess if I tried to wear that," one fan wrote in the comments (honestly same), while another simply replied: "Flawless!"
The whole look came together nicely with clear pumps, blue shades, and a perfectly-pink, feather coat. Another great detail of the pics was Rihanna’s sly incorporation of Savage x Fenty, which drops in less than a week. Underneath her casual jean skirt/top, Riri was able to slip in a silky white camisole from the line. The stylish star is a master of taking lingerie pieces and wearing them boldly and effortlessly in public.
