Rihanna turned an everyday activity into a fashion catwalk this week, arriving at the grocery store in bold fashion.

The “Believe It” musician stopped by a local shop on Monday wearing a mix of standout pieces. Kicking off with printed shades and a neon face mask, she pushed the bill further in a tropical oversize button-down top from Celine x Tyson Reeder and denim mini skirt with unexpected boxer shorts peeking out underneath.

To complete the look, the “What’s My Name?” singer tapped one of her favorite footwear designers: Amina Muaddi. The designer and Rihanna themselves first joined forces for their inaugural joint Fenty footwear collection in July 2020. Since then, the collection went on to become one of the biggest of 2020, earning it the title of the FNAA Collaborator of the Year during last year’s virtual show.

Yesterday’s pick came in the form of Muaddi’s Henson ankle-wrap sandals. The pedestal style comes set atop a signature flared heel with a trending square-toe front to match. Secured with thin straps across the heel and toes, the shoe also includes a unique gold chain that snakes across the ankle and up the leg. You can shop Rihanna’s choice of footwear for $1,020 at Bergdorf Goodman.

As for Rihanna herself, the multihyphenate is a major force in the fashion world, beyond her impeccable personal style. Her first major foray into designing occurred when she signed with Puma in 2014. In September 2015, the “What’s My Name” musician went on to create her first-ever Fenty (an ode to the superstar’s surname) product, the Fenty Puma Creeper, which won Rihanna her first FN Achievement Award for Shoe of the Year in 2016.

Rihanna also debuted her lingerie collection, Savage x Fenty, in 2018, before she and LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton became partners the next year, making her the first female designer of color at the helm of a luxury brand under the conglomerate. Together, they released the first Fenty collection consisting of apparel, footwear, accessories and more in May 2019. In February of this year, though, LVMH announced it was putting the luxury fashion house on hold “pending better conditions.”
